The societal challenge:
Restoring autonomy and independence in daily life to people with functional hand-holding deficits.
The solution proposed:
Functionable srl was founded by Federico Veneziano, physiotherapist, and Eng. Daria Tirone who developed Tactee®, a system of magnetic aids designed to restore autonomy in a multiplicity of daily gestures to those suffering from functional hand-holding deficits.
The Tactee® tool kit, tested and perfected in collaboration with the Turin Spinal Unit, allows people suffering from serious pathologies such as quadriplegia, hemiplegia, multiple sclerosis or amputations to perform daily gestures such as eating, drinking, writing, brushing teeth in complete autonomy.
