Planet Foundamentals is SocialFare’s call to seek startups capable of intercepting these transformations, through their own innovative solution and through models capable of generating economic and social value.

Technological balance, artificial and natural intelligence, sustainable innovation

THE CHALLENGES OF THE CALL

Selected startups must develop innovative solutions with explicit intentionality and additionality to generate positive social impact.

Climate, sustainability, and resource management

Solutions that address the climate crisis, environmental degradation and inefficient use of natural resources by promoting sustainable production and consumption patterns. Startups developing innovations for decarbonization, smartwater and energy management, biodiversity protection, and land resilience.

Health and new models of prevention

Evolving environmental, social and economic crises have an increasingly direct impact on public health. We seek solutions that anticipate emerging needs, improve access to care, and promote prevention, addressing challenges such aspollution-related diseases, mental health, longevity, and new models of digital and personalized healthcare.

Technology, artificial intelligence and sustainable innovation

Technological innovation can only be an accelerator of positive change if it is developed ethically, inclusively, and sustainably. We seek solutions that use AI, big data, blockchain, and digital tools to improve access to essential services, reduce inequality, and ensure transparency in resource and data management.

Future of work and new economic models

The digital and environmental transition is redefining labor markets, production patterns , and access to economic opportunities. We seek startups that create solutions for new skills training, impact finance, microcredit,job inclusion, and building more resilient and regenerative economies.

Education and culture for transition

Addressing global challenges requires knowledge, tools and new forms of learning. We seek solutions that foster equitable access to education, digital literacy, a culture of impact and awareness of issues such as sustainability, health and technological innovation.

WHO DO WE FOCUS ON?

We are looking for dedicated and motivated teams, interested in growing with us to develop scalable processes of change. We are looking for impact startups with the following features:

DEVELOPMENT

Early stage startups with a validated prototype or a product on the market. Business ideas, scale-ups (with revenue ˃ € 4M/year) are not our target

LEGAL FORM

We are accepting applications from both established companies (innovative startups, SIAVS, S.r.l.) and entities that are still in the process of being established.

SOCIAL IMPACT

We target startups with intentional, additional and measurable social impact, that stand out for their highly innovative product/service.

SocialFare is the first Center for Social Innovation in Italy and a MISE-certified incubator. To the best social impact startups we offer:

4 months of intensive acceleration

Full-time in-person and on-line programme at Rinascimenti Sociali (Social Renaissance) in Turin

Seed Investment up to 125k€ cash

In exchange for up to 15% equity

A dedicated acceleration team

Service design, business planning, investment readiness, and social impact assessment experts

Networking with 50+ mentors and investors

Access to our impressive network of impact investors, mentors and advisors

Desk in the co-working area and meeting rooms

Access to the events organized in the Head Office at the centre of Turin

Since 2016 to date, we have launched and implemented 18 accelerator programs through which we have accompanied more than 110 social impact startups, which collectively have raised more than €50M in funding to date.

More than 84% of the startups invested by SocialFare Seed since 2017 have successfully completed a capital raising subsequent to our investment.

With the expertise of our multidisciplinary team and a prestigious network of mentors, advisors and impact investors, we offer a unique program of expert advice and equity investment for generating impact entrepreneurship.

SocialFare Seed is a private impact seed investment vehicle established by Impact Investors, that invest in selected and accelerated SocialFare startups.
